About
In 2003, Brockton leaders, residents and service providers met to discuss what young people need to grow into caring and competent adults. Brockton’s Promise was launched to provide youth with Five Promises. Modeled after America’s Promise, the Five Promises are Caring Adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, Effective Education and Opportunities to Help Others. Since its inception, Brockton’s Promise has grown to include 5 Promise Teams, a Steering Committee and over 70 community partners.
This website is a project of Brockton’s Promise and was designed for two purposes. The first purpose is to help youth, parents and providers research organizations providing the Five Promises. The second purpose is to help Brockton’s Promise partners determine where there may be gaps in the fulfillment of all Five Promises.
